Overview

Firms Lookup lets authorized users search for a firm by company name and review certifications, capabilities, project information, and other company details.

Firms Lookup is available to:

  • Admin users
  • GC users, when Firms Lookup is enabled for their organization
If Firms Lookup is turned off for a GC organization, GC users in that organization can’t access it.

Purpose

Use Firms Lookup to quickly find a company and review key information before you:

  • Bookmark the firm
  • Add the firm to a bid package
  • Open the firm’s full profile

Depending on the firm profile, you may be able to review:

  • Company details
  • Locations
  • Certifications
  • Diversity classification
  • Union status
  • Revenue range
  • Capabilities
  • Commodity codes
  • Referenced and linked projects

Access and permissions

Admin users

Admin users can access Firms Lookup.

GC users

GC users can access Firms Lookup only when the feature has been enabled for their organization by an admin.

Search for a firm

  1. Open Firms Lookup.
  2. Enter the full or partial name of the firm.
  3. Review the matching firms in the results.
  4. Select a firm to view more information or take an action.

Understand the firm result card

A firm result card summarizes the most important firm information (based on what’s available in the profile).

Basic company information

May include:

  • Company logo
  • Company name
  • Verified profile badge (if applicable)
  • Short company tagline/summary
  • Certifications

Locations

May include:

  • Headquarters or primary location
  • Additional office or service locations

Business information

May include:

  • Estimated annual revenue range
  • Diversity classification
  • Union status
  • Number of referenced projects
  • Number of linked projects

About

A description of the firm’s services, experience, specialties, and business background.

Capabilities

A list of services and work areas associated with the firm.

Select Show More to expand the capabilities list when available.

Commodity Codes

May include:

  • Code type (for example, NAICS)
  • Commodity code
  • Commodity description

Firm attributes

May include attributes such as:

  • Responsive
  • Versatile
  • Reliable

Available actions

Bookmark

Select Bookmark to save the firm for easier access later.

Add to Bid

Select Add to Bid to add the firm to an available bid package.

View Profile

Select View Profile to open the firm’s full profile.

Notes

  • Information shown depends on the data available in the firm’s profile.
  • Some firms may not have every field completed.
  • Certifications, locations, capabilities, commodity codes, and project counts may vary between firms.
  • GC access depends on whether the Firms Lookup feature is enabled for the GC organization.
